Dead Bug is the realization of a life long dream of owning my own business. I didn't know it would turn out to be a pest control company, But the truth is I love the work. I started in the business by accident, I answered a sales position add for Terminix. I learned the trade there, going from salesman, sales manager, and finally regional sales manager. If the housing market hadn't crashed I'd probably still be there. After leaving Terminix, I worked for a couple other locally owned companies. All of this was good experience, and I learned a lot. Some things I use today, and other things I learned were the things I never wanted to do.
I started Dead Bug because I wanted to be able to provide the level of service I believe the customer deserves and provide for myself and my employees the quality of life that is hard to find as an employee these days. I enjoy every aspect of the job. Solving bug problems is always challenging because no two problems are ever the same. Some times similar but never the same. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. I've met some incredible people in the business. A gentleman who served in both the European theatre and Pacific theatre in WWII, taking care of our local warriors on the seal teams, and many other local families living here in Virginia.
I take immense pride in my work and expect that from those who represent me. I believe a job worth doing is a job worth doing well. If you want to see what its like to have a company go above and beyond every time they service your home, then you need to try Dead Bug.
